SHUTTLE Customer Service Rules and Information

HLR Courier and Shuttle will drive you to and from the airports in the Maryland, Washington D.C.
Metropolitan Area and neighboring states through a SHARED RIDE PLAN. There will be some
moments where a few customers will ride alone but those situations will be determined by HLR
Courier and Shuttle.

A “Shared Ride” is defined as: sharing a trip to and from the airport with one or a few other
passengers with similar travel time plans.  

HLR Courier and Shuttle will pick you up from your residence, places of business, schools and
hotels and drive you back upon your travel completion and return.

HLR Courier and Shuttle rates are very affordable and will satisfy any budget.
We offer a shared van ride, whole van rental rates for up to 6 passengers whether it’s a family or
business group traveling.

•        All pickups originating from a residence, place of business or hotel is arranged for HLR
Courier and Shuttle to arrive at pickup location 15 minutes prior to scheduled pickup time. This
allows the driver enough time to load your luggage and drive you to the airport or pickup any other
passengers with similar flight schedules.

•        HLR Courier and Shuttle Adheres to All Rules and Regulation established by State, Federal and
Aviation Laws in regards to passengers, children safety seats and all Airline luggage policies.  
Basically when a passenger has more than 2 checked bags and 1 carry-on, oversized items, or
exceeds 40 pounds, for example, oversized items are defined as conference displays, containers,
pet carriers beach/wind surf boards, skis, golf clubs then additional charge fees will be applied.

•        HLR Courier and Shuttle will drive you from the airport to a residence, hotels or other places
of business upon your travel return. HLR Courier and Shuttle can schedule pre-arranged pickups
outside a particular Airline baggage arrival area but cannot park curbside because of Airline
Security Regulations.  Reservations are not required. Please contact HLR Courier and Shuttle for
more information.

•        HLR Courier and Shuttle will not be held liable for acts of Mother Nature; i.e. weather
conditions, road hazards, police or fire location closures, accident investigations, airport traffic,
flight delays or cancellations. HLR Courier and Shuttle does not offer any refunds with regards to
the above mentioned circumstances of this “release of liability” statement.

•        It is the responsibility of the customer to contact HLR Courier and Shuttle within 24 hours by
telephone, fax or email to Change or Cancel any Scheduled Pickup To/From the airport. Customer
will be given a confirmation using a series of letters numbers. Customer will be charged the entire
scheduled pickup rate for “No Call/No Show” or unconfirmed cancellations. No exceptions unless
authorized by HLR Courier and Shuttle.

•        All “alleged” luggage damage claims must be reported or filed at the time of incident to the
HLR Courier and Shuttle driver or HLR Courier and Shuttle office personnel. It must be submitted
with a brief “statement of facts”  dated and signed by the customer filing the claim and name listing
of the HLR Courier and Shuttle driver assigned for that particular scheduled trip. All claim disputes
under $500 in value will be resolved with 24 hours of occurrence. Exceptions apply to claim
incidents valued at $501 or more. Please contact HLR Courier and Shuttle for more information.

•        HLR Courier and Shuttle accepts the following forms of payments:
MasterCard/VISA/Discover/American Express and Limited Cash Transactions due to security
concerns. Business Checks and Personal Checks will only be accepted by HLR Courier and Shuttle
office representatives during the time of “order” processing. HLR Courier and Shuttle drivers will
not accept any checks. All checks will be verified by a check verification agency of HLR Courier and
Shuttle’s choosing before a confirmation number is assigned. All check writers must agree to have
their USA government issued identification card, such as state issued drivers’ license, social
security card, USA passport and or state issued identification card information written on the check
or scanned or copied if necessary. No “starter post dated or two-party” checks will be accepted. All
checks must have the check writer’s name, business/residential address which matches
identification card on it. No Exceptions unless authorized by HLR Courier and Shuttle, LLC.

       Courier Service Information and Rules

  • Regular Business Hours: Mon-Fri 08:00am-6:00pm
  • All legal Holidays, Service after 5:00pm and Weekend Service is Available on a “Rush
    Basis.”     Contact HLR for more information.
  • The TWO FEATURED types of SERVICE being offered by HLR Courier is Delivery and Pickups from
    your place of business/residence or any other location agreed upon at the time of placing a service
    request call. OTHER SERVICES are available. Contact HLR for more information.
  • The TWO FEATURED services: are a 4 hour REGULAR Dispatched and 2 hours Rush Service.    
  • Definitions:
  • A 4 hour Regular Service is defined as:
  • Customer places a call for service and when the order has been confirmed by the HLR phone
    representative.  HLR has 4 hours to complete the service request.
  • A 2 hour “Rush Service” is defined as:
  • Customer places a call for service and when the order has been confirmed by HLR phone
    representative. HLR has 2 hours to complete the service request.
  •      The Four Acceptable Forms of Payment are:
  • CASH, Credit Cards, Business/Company Check with company name, address and phone
    number on the check.
  • Credit Cards and a Personal Check will be accepted as long as the check writer or person of
    contact has a valid photo I.D. (driver’s license, military I.D., state identification card) at the
    time of the transaction. All checks must be made payable to HLR Courier and or HLR Shuttle.  
    All Returned Checks will be subject to a $25.00 charge an addition to the original amount on
    the bad check. Payment is DUE AT THE TIME OF TRANSACTION UNLESS OTHER
    ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE IN ADVANCE OR CUSTOMER HAS a WRITTEN CONTRACT
    WITH HLR Courier & Shuttle Service, LLC.
  • HLR will allow a 5 minute waiting Period at all pickup/delivery locations as a courtesy to our
    customers. When the wait time exceeds 5minutes, HLR will charge $6.50 for each additional
    5minute period once customer has received a status notification by telephone; if the
    customer is not available then this copy of the “rules of operation” will serve as notification.
  • HLR can complete (example)> “standard copier paper” sized box deliveries in limited
    quantities. The first box will be free other than the delivery/pickup price; additional boxes will
    be a .50 cent charge per box and .10 cents per pound plus the delivery/pickup price.
  • All “Delivery and Return” request orders are processed at the Rush price. When a
    delivery/pickup service order has been confirmed by HLR and the driver attempts to complete
    the service request at any location other than customers’ and is unable due to customer’s
    client not being available, customer’s request for a specific individual’s signature, bad
    address, office closure or other reasons beyond HLR’s driver control then the customer must
    pay the delivery price and all additional charges as it pertains to the specific order.
  • HLR will not be held liable for deliveries/pickups that may be delayed or late due to road
    closures, accidents, inclement weather, traffic stalls, acts of god and any other hazards that
    might impede the driver’s ability to complete the service order request.
  • All customers that have established an account with HLR Courier/Messenger& Shuttle Service
    understands that their weekly “balance due” invoice(s) will be faxed mailed or hand delivered
    by 6:00pm every Friday.
  • Payment is expected to be received no later than    6:00pm the following Monday of the new
    business Week unless prior arrangement has been made.
  • All Billing Disputes must be reported to HLR Courier within 24 hours upon receipt of “Balance
    due” invoice(s).
  • ALL request orders deemed illegal under local, state and federal laws as well as unsafe for
    HLR Courier will be refused service.

  • ALL items that are received by HLR Courier for delivery/pickup requests are subject to
    observation and physical inspection by “opening and other means necessary” in or out of the
    presence of any customer to protect HLR Courier from any violation of law or any type of
    Civil/Criminal Litigation.

  • Furthermore, All Customers conducting business with HLR Courier as it pertains to
    Delivery/Pickups agrees not to hold HLR Courier and Its Commercial Insurance Provider liable
    for any damages that may arise under any circumstances except for the face value of a
    specific item or goods delivered/picked up.  All claims of “goods” alleged to be damaged must
    be reported within 24 hours to HLR Courier otherwise the liability claim will be null and void.
  • The typed and numbered “Rules of Operation” listed will serve as a legal and binding “Terms
    and Conditions” service contract by ALL clients conducting business with HLR Courier and
    will “remain in effect” for a period of one year from the first day of a delivery/pickup service
    order request.   
  • Each customer will receive a copy of the “Rules of Operation.” Please sign and date the
    signature page. It must be returned to HLR at the above address within two business days
    upon receipt.                                           
  • The “Terms and Conditions” are subject to changes and amendments from time to time by HLR
    that will be issued in writing to all clients of HLR Courier and Shuttle Service, LLC.
